Songs, Sounds & Stillness

New season with Norrklang

A new season is unfolding with Norrklang – Sounds & Stories from the North.

Sound Rest & Silence is offered as guided deep rest with voice and sound – for groups or individually, in calm indoor environments or at a place arranged together with you. Individual sessions can also be booked in your home or at another agreed location.

Norrklang is also about voice and storytelling. I am available for singing engagements on both small and large stages – in churches, at gatherings, concerts and special events.

I also offer individual lessons in guitar, piano and voice, as well as group guitar courses.

All offerings are shaped with care, presence and a deep connection to sound, place and tradition.

Sounds & Stories from the North

Let me take you on a journey of discovery into dimensions I would never have found, were it not for the lighthouses that other people have been for me throughout my life. Those who shone their light and showed the way forward. But also thanks to those I met along the way who did not wish me well, who led me astray and left me stranded. It is a story about me, but also about you, or someone you will meet one day.

Let me inspire you to make small but meaningful, sustainable choices in your life. Through joy and sorrow, anger and happiness, imagination and everyday life, I will guide you toward an awareness of the power you possess—but which might be hiding behind a still undiscovered archway, in a dimension you have yet to explore.

One-to-one or small group

Sound Rest & Stillness is a guided deep-rest experience in a calm setting, supported by voice, sound and silence.

We begin with gentle settling into the body, then rest lying down, fully clothed. The practice is inspired by yoga nidra, with no poses and no performance — nothing to achieve, only to receive.

In individual sessions, singing bowls are placed on and around the body. Sound and vibration unfold slowly, sometimes with soft vocal tones. Each session is adapted to your needs that day.

After the rest, you’re welcome to sit a while with a warm or cold drink and a light snack.

The person behind

NORRKLANG

My name is Anna Sellén.
I’m a singer, educator, and the founder of Norrklang.
My roots run deep in the north of Sweden – in its stories, songs, traditions, and the surrounding forest.

But the forest hasn’t always felt like home.
It took time to understand what it had to offer me. A slow unlearning – after years of stress – when I realized that change wouldn’t come unless I lived differently.

That’s how Norrklang came to life.
An invitation to reclaim something many of us have lost:

The chance to slow down.
To breathe more deeply.
To return to a more natural rhythm – something sustainable beyond productivity.

I believe rest is not something we must earn. We don’t need to prove our worth to deserve a pause. Often, restlessness is simply the body’s call for rest.

Through Norrklang, I create experiences where nature, voice, sounds and stories meet.

A space to soften, to let go,

and to share meaningful moments together.

The forest will do its work.
I’m just here to open up the path.
